Before booking accommodation: confirm the branch and your companion's needs
Start by confirming the address of the hospital branch, not just the hospital or city name. Then review accommodation against the trip's actual needs.
Ask about the distance and how to get there, whether there's a lift or steps at the entrance, and how easily the room can be reached. Check the number of beds, the bathroom, a kitchen if you need one, and the visitor policy and check-in/check-out times.
Ask for a written price including fees, and the cancellation, extension and deposit-refund terms. Keep the address, recent photos and a reliable way to contact the accommodation. Don't pay based on a photo or an anonymous recommendation alone.
If moving around after the procedure may need special arrangements, ask the treating team about your needs before confirming the booking. The community helps with questions and planning, but it doesn't decide whether accommodation is medically suitable for your case.
